2008 Summer Timetable - December Release
Several ad hoc groups of faculty, staff and students over the most recent years have studied options to encourage increased enrollment in Virginia Tech's Summer Sessions.
Recent surveys of our current student population support early access to Summer Session offerings. Students and parents have indicated a desire for information that would allow planning while students are home over school breaks. To that end, the Provost has approved altering the scheduling format for the Summer Sessions.
Beginning with Summer Sessions 2008, display of course offerings will be available in December 2007. Course Request for the Summer Sessions will open December 7, 2007 - February 8, 2008.
The longer period will allow students and families the opportunity to plan as they have requested. Notices to students will be provided as we approach the new time frame. The University Registrar will work with departmental schedulers to finalize the Time Table of Classes for Summer Sessions 2008.
Note: This change in format will not impact the already scheduled dates for Fall 2008 course request.
